Dogo Argentino
Dogo Argentinos (80-100 pounds) are powerful, loyal, and protective, best for experienced owners. They’re good with kids when socialized but may be too strong for toddlers. High exercise (2+ hours daily, running or training) is essential; their short coat needs minimal brushing.
Feed 4-6 cups daily of Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Chicken & Rice Formula, with 26% protein and glucosamine for joint health, as Dogos are prone to hip dysplasia. Split meals to prevent bloat. Best for outdoor living with indoor access, they need space, not apartments.
Training curbs aggression. Suited for active, rural owners, Dogos thrive with firm leadership, not for first-timers or small homes.
